I had the incredible pleasure of spending time and being photographed by artist and photographer extraordinaire, Theresa Pewal.
A traveling freelancer in extremely high demand, she blitzes up and down Western Europe from Berlin to Zurich to Vienna. We recently connected at the Gstaad Music Festival in Switzerland.
At the core of her work, one will see that she yearns
“To make the music in your mind seen”
to capture the state of a musician’s being when they have music rapidly coursing through their veins.
This philosophy is so close to music, an art form which is bound by time; we can try to relive the experience, to try and capture the magic we felt in the moment in audio recording or HD video formats. But can it be done? and what are we capturing exactly?
one thing is for certain – there is a certain joy and beauty in striving to reach for something that seem just out of your reach; little do you know that it might remain so, eternally. The endeavor to try and grasp that which cannot be grasped is magical and enticing.
Have a look at her work on my page under the “photo” tab in the About section. Check out her website and be sure to follow her on her Instagram page:
Till next time!
Cheers.
